My cute kids for Halloween...
Janessa - "Cowgirl" It is hard to see her cute costume behind little Briella but Janessa is just adorable. She put the costume together all by herself. From the cute cowgirl hat, freckles, denim vest with rope at the ready around her shoulder( just in case she needs to rope a calf or a little brother) to her denim skirt and she even had cowboy boots even though she didn't have them on for the picture. Head to toe, Janessa was just adorable!
Briella - "Minnie Mouse" If you ask me Briella was cuter as Minnie Mouse than even Minnie Mouse! She loved her poofy dress but didn't really enjoy the ears or white gloves. Which only lasted about 20 minutes before they ended up at the bottom of her trick or treat bag. Oh well...
Robert - "Soccer Player" Which isn't a far stretch for him I know but I was sure excited when that was what he chose to be this year. I couldn't convince him that to be a real soccer player he needed to at least put on his shin guards if not his cleats. No way. Comfort was his driving force for his costume this year. We actually cut a hole in the top of a real soccer ball and attached a strap to it for his trick or treat bag. Turned out to not only work great but made him look like a soccer player instead of just some boy in sport type clothes!
Allana - "Army Girl" For Allana, this costume was all about the accessories. If you aren't able to see them in the pics they include: camo backpack instead of the traditional trick or treat bag, cute camo headband and personalized dog tags and the best accessory of all - attitude! (as an almost 13 year old girl she has PLENTY of!!!)
We went to the park to have chili and hot dogs with a bunch of friends then the whole group of us set off to trick or treat a few streets in our neighborhood. It was lots of fun. The best part for me was watching Briella progress from hesitantly holding out her bag for the candy until she became more confident and was able to march up to each door, hold out her bag and proclaim "trii, tree"(trick or treat)then "tank oo" (thank you). So Cute!
Of course, once we got back home what else is there to do than stuff yourself silly with candy and pass out on the recliner half naked! Isn't that what you do after a long night of trick or treating????
