We decided that we needed another trip before school started so we loaded all the kids up in the car and drove to Texas. We made a little detour in New Mexico for a couple of days and stayed at this ranch in the Gila National Forest mountains. It was totally rustic with no tv or phone or even cell service. A bit shocking at first but we had a great time. On the ranch they had a bunch of sheep and goats. We had the great opportunity to watch as they sheered the sheep. Allana even was able to help bag the wool once it was off.
While we were on the ranch we took a half day horseback trip through the canyon. It was awesome! Not only were the views amazing and the path that the horses took a bit nervous at times (right on the edge of the mountain) but the horses were great. Even little Briella got her own horse to ride.
Check out those views!
We went back and forth across the river at least 20 times. The kids loved it! They would get their horses to hurry up just a bit before going in the water so it would splash themselves and the person behind them.
Briella thought she was a real cowgirl!
After our fun side trip we made it to San Antonio. We spent a whole week there. We were able to hang out with Brady's brother, Logan, his wife, Lindsay and their super fun boys, Gabe, Ben and Jamison. We all got year passes to Sea World and went nearly every day. It was nice because we would go for a few hours, see some shows then go back home. Just long enough to have fun but not so long as to tire everyone out.

We were having so much fun I forgot to pull the camera out so we don't really have too many pics of the whole week. SO sad! It was so great to be able to have the kids hang out with cousins they don't get to see too much. To have a whole week with them gave the kids a chance to really "bond". So fun to watch them love each other! Can't wait until they come to visit us in November :)
