For the Zollinger Reunion this year we went to Gladwin to stay at Char's Mom & Step Dad's cabin. It was beautiful and we had SO MUCH FUN!!! We got there Sunday evening and left Thursday afternoon. There was so much to do we were NEVER bored.
Here is the cabin from the lake. Gregg and Jill enjoying the wonderful weather we had and watching all the kids in the lake.
First thing Monday morning this whole crew decided to take Eric's pontoon boat out to explore the lake. Not too long after that we got a call that they were having boat problems and had to take the BIG pontoon boat to go rescue them. What a fun adventure!
We spent LOTS of time just hanging out and visiting. It was so much fun to just laugh with my siblings and their spouses.
Char, Eric and Tim
Gregg, Shaunna and Rick
Mark, Monica and Grandpa
The kids had a never ending supply of water activities.
Here is Janessa, Mathew and Briella on a paddle boat with Ryden on a kayak.
We also took nearly the entire family on a little boat trip to the rope swing someone had set up on the lake. Nearly everyone had a try. Those that were lighter had an easier chance of keeping themselves high enough to get some air. But everyone had fun, even if just being a spectator.
This is Briella getting up high
After a few attempts Brady got up there
Even though Janessa is pretty scared of heights, she gave it a shot and after a few tries got really good at it too!
Everyday was spent on the boat tubing. The kids had a great time and I could post a hundred pictures of everyone flying over the water but thought one example would be enough :)
This is Janessa, Logan, MacLean and Ridge
The rest of us just enjoyed the boat rides or were patiently waiting their turn on the tube. Robert wasn't able to get in the water at all unfortunately because of his recent knee surgery. So watching was the extent of his fun.
Robert, Leah, Char, Luke, Ashlyn, Brady and Briella
We decided a real "greased pig" competition would be fun. Mark and Monica bought 2 watermelons and they greased them up real good with Crisco. We split the kids into 2 categories according to age. Then Eric chucked the watermelon in the water and we watched the kids go wild.
This is the younger kids all getting a hand on it!
This is the older kids. The big boys were all fighting out in the deeper water, then as it was bouncing around the watermelon got knocked loose from the pack of boys, Janessa saw her opportunity and grabbed it and ran.
The winner is...Janessa! Boy did she make those boys mad :)
Lots of time was spent just playing outside. Here the kids are playing with water balloons.
Briella is showing Grandpa her "baby" one
Even the big kids got to play with water balloons. Here Grandma is shooting hers out to the lake while Eric and Brady hold on to the sling shot
Mark brought a water rocket that kept the boys busy for a while. When it was working right it really flew far. Then that kept the younger kids busy chasing it in the kayaks.
Shaunna brought a fun game. It only took a little while and most of those boys were experts :)
Janessa enjoying a little quiet and relaxing under the trees
We all enjoyed the slow pace the entire time. Just hanging out together.

Grandma and Jill with Luke.
I wasn't too great at keeping my camera handy and didn't get a chance to take pictures of lots of other things we did. Maybe someday I will add another post with the pictures other people took, that I missed, that way you can see more of the reunion.
Even though not all the grand kids could make it, those that were able to come had a great time.
We all can't wait until the next reunion!
