The kids were out of school at 10:00am on Friday because of Parent Teacher Conferences so we took the opportunity to take a little road trip north for a little fun in the SNOW!!! We had heard about a great place just off the highway for sledding so we packed up the kids, added a few layers, found some snow gloves & hats in the back of the closet and headed out. We invited Tiffany and her kids to come along, the more the merrier!
It had snowed since the last people had gone down the hill so Brady took the sled and made a track for the kids. With each ride down it got longer and longer.
The snow was so deep it pretty much swallowed you up with each step, which wasn't too much fun for Briella or Kylee. They both had a couple of runs on the sled. Briella even went down once by herself.
Every time the kids went down as a "train" it made my heart skip. All I kept thinking of was a little 2 year old girl I knew in Logan, UT that had both her legs broken because she was in front and the weight of the people behind her smashed her at the bottom of the hill. Fortunately, we didn't have any major accidents or injuries. Pretty much just lots of smiles :) And a few tears from being cold :(
Overall, it was a fun trip but we are ALL glad we get to visit the snow instead of having to live with it 24/7!!!
