Yahoo! We are finally going on our first cruise. We love to travel and decided to do it from a boat this time :) We had been thinking about going for a few months and had been checking out prices, destinations, etc. for a while but were having a hard time convincing someone to take our brood of hooligans. So, we had pretty much given up on going when out of the blue my dear sweet sister-in-law Erica mentioned on Memorial Day that "Sure, I'll take the kids so you can go on a cruise, if you take mine while we go on a vacation" That sounds like a great deal, she only has 2! OK, so honestly, I thought she was just being nice and wasn't serious but Brady took her for her word and immediately that night went home and started surfin' the net for a good deal. I told him, he better call her and make sure she is serious before he starts booking anything! Well, lo and behold, she was serious (and maybe a bit crazy :) so we booked a great deal for a 7 day to the Mexican Rivera for 3 weeks from then. Then the mad dash to prepare began...
I swear it has been like preparing for a military maneuver! Well, first of all it started with the idea that maybe if I got Robert to go to a couple other people's homes for some of the time it would make watching my kids way less stressful on Erica. So in asking around we were miraculously able to find 4 different people to agree to have him for a couple of days each. Which means that Erica wouldn't have to worry about him at all. But for the past 3 weeks it has been a shuffle of when each person can watch him and who is picking him up and when are they dropping him off at who's house... Luckily, the girls are all going to C.J. and Erica's for the whole time so at least that has been no stress. But then we have to worry about the dog, who just to make my life easier, decided to get really sick this last week and we had to take her to the vet because she didn't eat anything for 6 days and was looking like she was going to die! Good thing - he said she probably just got a bad bug from another dog, gave her a shot and a bag full of pills for us to give her. 3 days later she is back to her old self (just skinnier) but now we have to figure out how Sterling and Olivia (who sweetly agreed to watch her) are going to watch her and move into their new house all in the same week. I know the cat will be fine if we just stick out a big bowl of cat food and water, as long as someone doesn't let her outside!!!!
OK so I better stop bloggin' and finish the laundry so I can pack up 6 people, clean my house for whoever is going to stay here while we are gone then LEAVE all my kids, chores, stress and real life behind to absolutely relax for a wonderful, fabulous 7 days!!!

WOW! I am so glad you were able to go and have such a great time. What wonderful people to help with your children. I'm sure the kids had a great time too.
