Stake Christmas Program 2015

This year the stake decided to do something different for our Christmas Program. They made an original musical production. It was wonderful! Janessa had the opportunity to be really involved in it. She had a part as an angel and also got to work behind the scenes as the make-up artist. I was able to help make lots of the costumes. I made all the colorful tunics, vests, scarves and belts that the teenagers all wore. Also, some of the tunics the kids wore too!

The show started out with all the teenagers entering the huge extended stage by dancing!
 Michael
 Malory
The whole show was accompanied by a full choir and orchestra!
Jake
Then the story of Christ birth was portrayed
in music and vignettes on stage.

Isaac
The primary children were the shepherds.
The teenagers back as heralding angels
Emily, Jake and Janessa as the "special" angels
In this scene Joseph and Mary were center stage with baby Jesus. And as the choir sang, everyone was perfectly still except Janessa.  She was the angel that took the shepherds one by one across the stage to sit in awe of the baby. It was a really long song and very moving. Almost like we, the audience, were being presented
to the baby Jesus as well.

 Sheperds, Ammon and Isaac
 Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus
The lights were nearly off while the choir moved center stage
with glowing battery candles.
 My beautiful angel, Janessa

It was a wonderful production and evening!
