Band Wagon here I come!

So, I know I'm a bit behind the times but I thought it was about time to jump on the bloggin' band wagon. I don't know if anyone even wants to hear about all the nutty stuff in my life but I figured what the heck. I'd give this blog thing a try. You will have to be patient with me while I figure the whole thing out. If you know me at all you know that I don't even know how to change the batteries in my camera without Brady's help. So if I don't get the hang of this right away, just chill 'til I do!

The kids have been in school for a few weeks now and boy does it make my life easier! How in the world I ever did homeschool for all those years I don't have a clue. I actually have time to do more than pick up toys, dirty clothes, leftover food, etc. and break up fights. My house is clean more often than it is not and for those sweet 7 hours a day the only fights I have to break up is Briella fighting with Brady over the cookies at lunch!

At first Briella wasn't quite sure what to do with herself without her siblings to entertain her but once she figured out she gets Mom and usually Dad all to herself she has done pretty well. She has a little friend "Bella" that comes over once a week and I take Briella to her house once a week for a couple of hours each. She has loved her play dates so far. It has also given her a nice distraction since her little best friend and cousin Kylee moved away a couple of weeks ago. She still misses her and asks about her every once in a while but Bella has started to find a way into Briella's heart too.

Allana is on the "morning crew" at school. Our school has TVs in all the classrooms and the morning announcements are televised. The "morning crew" is a group of 7th & 8th graders that produce, direct and star in the announcements. She is excited to get to use the movie camera's and be creative to make the announcements fun.

Janessa signed up to be on the safety patrol so she gets to wear a reflective belt and look official while directing morning traffic as parents drop off kids at school. With both girls having morning assignments at school that means we need to be ready and at the school by 7:40! And I'm the kind of person that could easily sleep til 9 every morning if I could! Robert loves it though. It means that he gets a full 15 minutes of playground time BEFORE school everyday. What 7 year old boy wouldn't love that!
